Hi, and welcome to Olie Linsdell Racing. With the 2008 season well and truly over, I had a busy winter sorting out plans for 2009. With the current economic climate, it was even harder to find Sponsors and backers! However, having considered all options carefully I was pleased to announce that with a lot of hard work and help from current backers, and new ones on board, we had managed to put a competitive package together to race in 2009. 2008 was a financially stressful year for Team Olie Linsdell, and this year we cannot afford to compete at both BSB and the International Road Races, without additional backing. It is for that reason, combined with my growing great love for Real road racing, that we decided that a full season on the roads would be the best career path for both myself and our newly formed team. We have managed to secure enough funding to buy and prepare Superstock and Supersport machinery, and have been offered use of high spec Yamaha Superbike for the three big meetings, the North West 200, TT and Ulster GP, and once again been offered the use of Honda 125/ 250 machines and the Paton for selected events. We now face the uphill struggle of keeping the bikes running at all of the rounds throughout the year, and meeting the costs of getting backwards and forwards to Ireland throughout the season. We will not skimp on anything at the expense of the professional image of the team and at the moment it looks as though after the TT which events I ride at will be very much decided on how much is left in the pot! If anybody can offer ANY sort of support to a young rider and an exciting new team please get in touch through my contact page. You can download documents relating to the team and to myself below, and view the provisional events list in the diary page. As I have said, every little helps, so please get in touch!

2008 Season Resume I had some exciting options and offers for 2008 and considered all offers carefully, but I was delighted to announce that I would be riding for Team Black Horse Yamaha, under the guidance of Team mate and Manager Ian Lougher, riding in the BSB junior Superstock series, on a Yamaha YZF-6R, and at the NorthWest 200, Isle of Man TT, and Ulster Grand Prix in the 600 Supersport and 1000 Superstock classes, on Yamaha supported machinery. Ian is well versed in what it takes to manage a professional Race team, and with his expertise, the backing of Yamaha and Black Horse finance, and all my major sponsors I couldn't wait for the season to start! I was also part of the 2008 TT advertising "Young Guns" campaign so click on the banner below to download a PDF file, and see what they said! It looks really good and makes for an interesting read. Posters leading up to the TT in the major Motorcycle press and postcards of my ugly Mug and info was also in the programme! I expanded upon my road racing experience and had a good 2008 season, taking my second win at the International North West 200 and the Dundrod 150 race during the rain lashed Ulster GP meeting, my debut at the Ulster circuit. I also set new lap records during both wins in the process. My first TT gained me two Bronze and one Silver replica, with a 600 speed of 119.554 an two op twenty positions. My season on the short circuits also showed some pleasing improvements throughout the year. Riding in the BSB support 600 Superstock class, I took 5 top ten placing's, and 15th overall, despite an early shoulder injury, in a series that saw 60 plus riders on the track over the weekend, and often less than a second separating the top thirty! I was also lucky enough to be offered rides on 250 and 125 machinery later in the year, and also made a first appearance at Scarborough for the Gold Cup races in September. None of this would have been possible without the fantastic support I'm still receiving from a dedicated sponsor base. I must thank all my Sponsors, backers, 2008 team manager Ian and the rest of Team Black-Horse Yamaha, and my family for their unending support; and everyone who helped to make my 2008 season a memorable one. You all know who you are so THANK YOU one and all.
